Club Lamb operation striving to breed for high performance sheep that can excel in both the ring and production.
Prairie Winds Livestock began in 2014 as the love for the sheep industry instilled in myself through showing market lambs in North Dakota youth and open shows. I began to focus on purchasing high quality females that were able to compete but were still able to lay down and produce functional lambs for years to come. Breeding for well balanced sheep who are sound, wide based, and extended are important aspects that are I am focused on. My ewe base consists of genetics from Schminke Genetics, Karr Club Lambs, Dee Brothers, Miller Farms of South Dakota, and RCR Club Lambs.
Currently I run 30 ewes with the goal of growing in years to come. Spring lambs are consigned to the Northern Elite Boer Goat and Club lamb sale in New Salem, ND. Many of the individuals who I have worked with through purchasing or showing have taught me a tremendous amount about the sheep industry. Being mentored by these people has made working with young showman and sheep enthusiasts so rewarding and humbling.
When purchasing or working with us, you will not only receive satisfaction in the lamb you feel best fits your needs but in the assistance we are standing by ready to provide in any step of your journey.
